Ridley's Family Markets, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Meat Department Associate to join our team. As a key member of our store staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of meat quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain a high level of morale within the department and store by utilizing friendly and professional methods of honest and open communication.
* Promote a positive work environment by working collaboratively with other department managers to improve sales storewide.
* Ensure proper freshness, code dating, tares, and merchandising of products in compliance with governmental guidelines and company policies and procedures.
* Recognize and maintain the quality of all service and self-service meats from their appearance and distinguishing between types and cuts of meat.
* Assist in proper department pricing, rotating, and merchandising to meet company policies, procedures, and objectives.
* Pull outdated, rewrap, or apply new labels as necessary.
Requirements
* Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand the spoken word to respond promptly to pages, requests, team members, and guests.
* Basic computer skills preferred.
* High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or related job experience and/or training are preferred.
* Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form or when helping resolve a team member or guest concern.
* Ability to lift up to 50lbs or more.
