RieLes Group is seeking Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) – Licensed Psychologist Remote for Defense Health Agency/Medical Affairs Directorate. The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agency overseeing military healthcare. For the Behavioral Health Care Facilitator (BHCF) – Registered Nurse role, DHA’s Medical Affairs Directorate integrates behavioral health into primary care. BHCFs support Primary Care Managers (PCMs) and Behavioral Health Consultants (BHCs) in managing conditions like depression and anxiety. They ensure coordinated, evidence-based care for military personnel and families, often through remote/telehealth services.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (excluding federal holidays)
Job Summary:
The Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) is a licensed psychologist, social worker, licensed professional counselor, or supervised trainee responsible for delivering services within the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model. This team-based approach integrates behavioral health into primary care to manage both behavioral health problems and biopsychosocially influenced health conditions
BHCs function as generalists and educators, providing high-volume, team-based, and easily accessible services that are integrated into routine primary care. The role emphasizes brief, targeted interventions and supports the Primary Care Manager (PCM) and care team in enhancing patient outcomes

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and support the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model
- Work alongside PCMs and BHCFs to provide integrated behavioral health services
- Conduct brief assessments and interventions for patients with behavioral health concerns
- Offer consultation and training to primary care teams on managing behavioral health issues
- Maintain accurate medical records, treatment plans, and documentation in compliance with DHA policies
- Provide psychoeducation and support to patients and families
- Collaborate with specialty care providers for cases requiring advanced treatment
- Submit monthly progress reports (MPR) and ensure compliance with quality control standards
Qualifications:
- Licensed Psychologist
- Must have 10 years post-doctorate experience, of which at least 2 years are on providing services in the Primary Care Behavioral Health model of care.
- Experience in integrating behavioral health services into primary care
- Strong ability to provide brief, evidence-based interventions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Teams, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with federal healthcare standards and reporting procedures
- Additional Requirements:
- Complete required DoD and DHA training before network access is granted
- Maintain telework agreement, updated annually
- Participate in monthly progress reporting and quality control initiatives
