Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services at the Iowa City VA Health Care System. The role requires patient preparation, image acquisition, and quality control while ensuring compliance with VA, ACR, and The Joint Commission standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain CT scanners, MRI, X-rays, fluoroscopy, and other imaging equipment
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images
- Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring comfort and safety
- Follow radiation safety procedures and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams
- Ensure compliance with VA regulations, infection control, and HIPAA policies
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology
- ARRT (CT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
- Minimum 3 years of recent CT Technologist experience
- VA Privacy, HIPAA, and Information Security Awareness
Vaccinations:
- Proof of measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, pertussis, and annual flu vaccination
