Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Histology Technician to provide histology services at the White River Junction VA Medical Center. This role involves tissue processing, embedding, staining, and ensuring compliance with CAP, The Joint Commission, and VA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination
• Perform embedding, sectioning, and staining using specialized histology equipment
• Maintain laboratory records and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Collaborate with pathologists and healthcare professionals
• Maintain and operate histology lab equipment
• Follow HIPAA regulations and ensure data integrity

Requirements:
Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of recent Histology and Cytology experience

Training:

• VA Privacy, HIPAA, and Information Security compliance
