Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, process, and prepare blood and other specimens for laboratory testing
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection following proper techniques
- Verify patient identity, ensuring accuracy in sample labeling and processing
- Maintain and operate phlebotomy equipment in a sterile environment
- Communicate with patients, nurses, and lab staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 3 years of recent phlebotomy experience
- Phlebotomy Technician certification (preferred)
- VA Privacy, HIPAA, and Information Security compliance
