GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Clinical team member will perform a supportive role in the delivery of patient care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, equitable and willing to work in clerical setting.
Qualifications:
- Effectively participates in planning and preparing for patients visits ensuring appropriate schedules, and tests results.
- Rooms patients consistent with clinic needs: documenting detailed chief complaint, medication list, allergies, past medical history, keeping patients informed of delays and progress of clinical appointment.
- Prepares and stocks rooms (daily) and cleaning rooms appropriately between patients.
- Schedule patients for follow up appointments, referrals, procedures, routine clerical duties.
- Assist with biopsy and surgical procedures while maintaining sterile field.
- Knowledge of sterile technique
- Perform telephone messaging and in person screening with appropriate follow up.
- Respond in a professional manner to emergency situations.
- Respect and maintain privacy and confidentiality per HIPPA guidelines
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
Certification/Skills:
- Use and care of stand clinic equipment
- Basic Life Support Certified
- Certification ( RMA, CMA)
- Prior EMR experience
