What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Delivery Representative position at Riesterer & Schnell Inc?
CAN BE BASED OUT OF OUR DENMARK OR TWO RIVERS LOCATION! Responsible for building customer relationships by traveling to customer locations to deliver parts. Responds to customers with a sense of urgency, taking ownership of their parts needs, and providing a solution in a timely, accurate manner. Backup for inside Parts Rep as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains an established route and follows it routinely so customers can count on consistency in service.
- Works cooperatively with Parts Manager in coordinating all deliveries.
- Asks appropriate questions to determine the best solution to the customers parts need. Uses all available resources to find the best solution.
- Works to build a solid business relationship with customers and be a resource for questions.
- Strives to promote and maintain the Parts On-Site Program at customer sites.
- Completes all related paperwork in a timely, efficient manner.
- Retrieves parts from inventory, transfers in from another store, or orders as needed.
- Refers leads on other sales opportunities to R&S staff as appropriate.
- Responsible for observing all DOT guidelines including securing loads, observing all traffic laws, and remembering the importance of public safety.
- Presents a positive, professional image in dress and conduct at all times.
Other duties Inside Parts Rep as needed
- Goes through parts orders as they arrive and puts them away or matches them with orders.
- Assists in maintaining an accurate inventory of all parts on hand, participates in annual physical inventory process as requested.
- Coordinates shipments incoming and outbound from the dealership.
- Stays up-to-date on equipment and market trends through attending training, product bulletins and other resources.
- Uses a forklift to load and unload materials.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Three plus years of previously related experience required.
- Must have a valid drivers license and insurable driving history.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization, and the general public as well.
- Ability to use a computer and current software programs required.
- Knowledge of farm equipment required.
