Summary

Responsible for managing the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utilities – water, sewer, stormwater, and gas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Development and implementation of schedules and work plans for assigned projects
• Communicate with Customers and project team members to coordinate job schedules, changes and address any construction issues that arise
• Provide direction to field personnel and ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Ensure project documentation and quantity reporting is accurate and complete
• Develop submittals, change orders, and pay requests as assigned
• Resolve or participate in resolving construction problems
• Review and evaluate daily costs, timesheets, truck, and equipment usage
• Monitor employee compliance with safety program requirements, and document and ensure corrective measures are implemented
• Coordinate and cooperate with other departments (i.e., Engineering, Public Works, Quality Control, Equipment) to ensure that all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc. are in place to ensure operations run smoothly without service disruptions
  
  

Qualifications

• Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in underground utilities management
• Experience with asphalt, concrete, grading preferred.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Self-motivated; ability to work independently
• Good written and verbal communication skills
