Summary
Safely and accurately operate a front-end loader at our asphalt plant and ensure the plant has a steady supply of aggregate, sand, and other products to produce quality asphalt mixes
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
- Operate front-end loader, load materials into plant feed bins, and load trucks with material.
- Communicate with plant foreman and truck drivers to ensure efficiency.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on the Asphalt Plant and Equipment.
- Additional duties/responsibilities as defined by supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or (GED)
- Two (2) years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred
- Good attitude, effectively working in a team environment
- Ability to thrive, learn, and retain knowledge in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated; ability to work independently
- Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions
- Physical requirements: Heavy lifting, climbing ladders, shoveling/plant cleanup, and etc.
- Ability to safely work from heights when needed
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and unexpected longer hours when necessary
