- Responsible for professional growth and effectiveness of Supply Chain operational teams
- Provide direct coaching and support of Supply Chain managers, and coordinate the development of key performance goals
- Lend insight to organizational issues and strategic planning through collaboration with senior staff
- Ensure the creation and implementation of strategies designed to meet the demands of company growth
- Ensure overall delivery and quality of goods provided to the customers
- Suggest through analysis key investments in equipment, materials, infrastructure, and talent
- Maximize Supply Chain efficiency and effectiveness while targeting continuous cost reduction initiatives
- Work closely with Supply Chain vendors and service providers to minimize cost and maximize efficiency
- Actively engaged in long term strategic planning for the site.
- Facilitate a work environment conducive to superior productivity, safety, quality, and morale.
- Establishes priorities, focus resources and ensure all employees are working toward common goal
- Ensure high quality employee attraction, engagement, and development at all levels.
- Coaches and builds Supply Chain team in collaboration efforts with the sales team to achieve superior customer service for all customers.
- Leads and facilitates cross functional teams on problem resolution and process improvement both within and outside of Supply Chain
- Strategize with leaders across the network to stay ahead of changing customer needs, industry advances, and labor planning concerns.
- Build bench strength by developing a strong team of Supply Chain leaders and provide coaching and appropriate development opportunities
- Functional ability to back up individual Supply Chain managers as needed
- Functional ability to back up Vice President of Operations as needed
- Utilize financial acumen and knowledge when making business decisions and seeking proper authorizations prior to taking actions
