What are the responsibilities and job description for the US Based Oil Rig Inspector position at Rig QA International, Inc.?
US BASED OPERATIONS ONLY
This is a 1099 or contract position only. All personnel are individually responsible for their own training, reference materials, continuing education and certifications.
Desired personnel shall have:
• A minimum 15 plus years of drilling rig experience offshore, onshore, or a combination of both, current or previous inspection background is a plus.
• A strong technical background in all or one of the following: electrical, mechanical, marine, well control, drilling systems, and dynamic positioning.
• Comprehensive understanding and ability to articulate applicable regulatory standards and statues such as CFR, OSHA, DROPS, DNV-GIL, ABS, API, BLM, NFPA, SOLAS, and ANSI.
Responsibilities:
• Complete project related documentation on required timelines including daily reports, inspection reports, and invoicing.
• Maintain lines of communication with client, fully understanding expectations and client needs throughout the duration of the project.
• Interface with drilling rig personnel of all levels in order to execute daily tasks and coordinate inspection activities with minimal impact to operations.
• Fully participate in client and drilling contractor HSE program including attending of daily HSE briefings, JSA program, and permit to work systems.
