Position Summary :
Director Engineering & Operations who can demonstrate strategic and tactical leadership skills while having exemplary engineering and process improvement skills. Responsible for managing and coordinating employees whose activities are related to the design, development, launch, support and manufacture of world leading handheld sensor instrumentation.
Responsibilities :
- Directly supervises / overseas engineering team members (software, electrical, mechanical, systems) & manufacturing in a defined project environment, setting goals and directing career paths.
- Planning and prioritization of NPI projects and sustaining efforts
- Set technical goals within broad outlines provided by the business
- Works with cross-functional groups to coordinate needs, issues, and expectations of engineering and manufacturing team.
- Routinely communicate project status to team and organization, including raising awareness for program issues and driving to resolutions
- Assists in driving and coordinating formal gate reviews.
- Deep understanding of process improvement sufficient to coordinate manufacturing process changes across functional departments.
- Interact directly with customers in the development of new products and to communicate the Company's technology capabilities in providing solutions in response to customer request
- Ability to work independently, when necessary, and to interface with multidisciplinary teams, working across departmental boundaries
