Job Summary :
We are seeking a detailoriented Estimator to analyze project requirements interpret technical drawings and specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role involves coordinating with suppliers subcontractors and internal teams to ensure competitive and precise project bids. A background in fabrication or welding is beneficial but not required .
Responsibilities :
- Analyze and interpret commercial and technical specifications to assess cost and execution impacts.
- Review and understand drawings to determine material and subcontractor requirements.
- Perform detailed material takeoffs and generate requisitions (RFQs) for material quotes.
- Develop subcontractor scope summaries and request quotes from qualified subcontractors.
- Identify and qualify suppliers and subcontractors based on project needs and timelines.
- Assess costsaving opportunities and develop strategic estimating approaches.
- Estimate labor costs and project timelines based on manufacturing processes and experience.
- Create independent project schedules and labor estimates for bid preparation.
- Communicate bid plans cost breakdowns and potential risks to sales and management teams.
