What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Foreman - Cumberland, MD position at Riggs Industries?
J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers is seeking a 2nd shift foreman who will assist in daily production management while working on the shop floor in a reduced role. This individual will work directly with the shop superintendent to accomplish weekly and monthly goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day operations and achievement of management goals and objectives.
- Assist in the daily opening/closing of the facility
- Helping personnel to ensure workflow continuity and efficiency
- Assist with ensuring adequate stock levels of raw materials
Required Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills for navigating reports, composing emails, and accessing technical data
- Working knowledge of processes and procedures used on our typical installations and repairs
- Working knowledge of fabrication and welding
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Above average attendance record
Education and Experience:
- Experience in proper operation of all equipment in a typical fabrication facility
- Experience of 5 years
- Willingness to learn more advanced computer skills
- Ability to evaluate issues and identify resolutions
- Willingness to work occasional overtime or odd shifts as needed
