Right at Home Anne Arundel County office is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) in Edgewater MD 21037 that can help senior clients in the Anne Arundel County MD area by playing an integral role in providing insights in the healthcare perspective of the client's condition and home environment.
The Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for conducting initial assessments, reassessments and medication management for clients and supervisory skills assessments with caregivers assigned to clients.
Preferred Availability
Monday to Friday - daytime hours
Weekends - as needed

Supervisory $50 (usually done on the same client visit if the caregiver is available)

Essential Functions
Assess client’s condition including home environment and home safety
Provide personal care guidance to caregivers including demonstrating how to use Hoyer Lift or a two-person transfer with a Hoyer Lift
Provides insights about the client’s condition and caregiver-client compatibility by collaborating with the team
Ensures all relevant high-risk data is communicated to the team and caregiver prior to the start of services
Ensures all documentation is accurate and complete within each client's profile including online and printed copies of documentation
Ensures compliance with company policy and all federal, state, and local regulating bodies and conditions of participation
Remains informed and updated on home health regulations and standards
Ensures the quality of patient care and service by using specialized knowledge and judgment to assure patient care standards are in compliance with applicable State Practice acts and Agency policies
Promotes a positive image of the Agency within the office and in the community
Ensure that Quality Assurance is the focus and we are following Client Experience policies and procedures
Additional (non-essential) Functions
Represent the agency before the public as required
Builds and maintains trusting relationships with all stakeholders.
Works both in the office and in clients’ homes as required for assessments and supervisory visits.
Display high knowledge in the agency service lines, service fees, and client base
Able to propose services and institutes contractual agreements with clients
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland that is in good standing
CPR Certification
Health physical (meets the health requirements for employees providing direct patient care)
Complete tax forms (W9)
Have a valid driver's license and an insured automobile.
Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
Preferred Experience
Nursing: 3 years (Preferably in homecare field)
Excellent Documentation skills
Knowledge of common geriatric medications
G-J Tube
S/P Catheter care
G-button care and use
Quadriplegic experience
