Continuing Training Opportunities
Responsibilities :
Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including residential homes, day programs, and community settings.
Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and household chores.
Implement individualized support plans and behavior management strategies to promote skill development and independence.
Foster positive relationships with individuals, families, and caregivers to ensure personalized and high-quality care.
Encourage and facilitate community integration and participation in social, recreational, and vocational activities.
Document individual progress, incidents, and significant events accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including case managers, therapists, and healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in human services or related field preferred.
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar caregiving role preferred.
Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and compassion when working with individuals with diverse needs and abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
Ability to adapt to changing environments and respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required; ability to transport individuals in personal or company vehicle may be necessary.
