Weekend CNA’s!
Right at Home Wilmington is actively hiring CNAs who have dementia care experience, who want to work weekend shifts with a client in the Wilmington, NC area. We're hiring for the following shifts:
Monday- Saturday: 12pm-4pm
Sunday: 10am-4pm
Here's what you can expect:
You will provide companionship for your client. He had a stroke and is paralyzed on one side. He enjoys watching Westerns on television. Your client is unable to communicate verbally but able to nod yes and no and make facial expressions to indicate likes and dislikes.
You should be able to prepare a healthy meal for your client.
Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed. This may include cleaning floor, cleaning bathroom and bedroom, kitchen, laundry and linens change.
Your client currently requires a sit-stand transfer machine. You will provide bedbound care and hands-on assistance with dressing. You will also help your client to perform routine grooming such as brushing teeth and hair.
Nurse Aides must be comfortable providing care, including:
incontinence care and cleaning of client
assisting with dressing and personal grooming activities
assisting with feeding
med reminders
Nurse Aides can also expect to:
Assistance with transfers using sit-to-stand lift
prepare meals
light housekeeping
An NA1 license, valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and current TB skin test are all required for this position.
