Key Responsibilities
In this rewarding role, you’ll provide personalized care to help clients with their activities of daily living, including:
- Assisting with transfers and mobility throughout their home
- Performing light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, doing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms
- Preparing meals and snacks according to client preferences
- Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
- Providing bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving assistance
- Offering medication reminders
- Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
- Providing dementia care
- Engaging in companionship activities such as reading, listening to music, puzzles, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Valid SC driver’s license and current automobile insurance preferred
- Ability to pass a background check
- Willingness to obtain a valid TB test
