The Office Support Specialist performs various activities related to the maintenance of associate and office records for company business. This role provides essential support to all departments, with a primary focus on managing phone communications and scheduling. Assists in clerical functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Answers telephone, directs calls and takes messages using good telephone technique.
- Greets and assists everyone who comes into the office in a professional and courteous manner.
- Data entry into WellSky and other applications as necessary to manage all new clients, prospective clients, associates and vendors.
- Assists Staffing Coordinator with daily scheduling needs.
- Acts as a liaison between departments to facilitate collaboration and effective communication.
- Support special projects and tasks as assigned by various teams. Assists departments with creating and distributing reports, memos, and other communications.
- Provide general office support, including data entry, filing, and document preparation.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Other general office and clerical functions.
- Other duties assigned by Office Manager.
EDUCATION / SKILLS / ABILITIES / AVAILABILITY
- High School graduate or equivalent with one year of applicable healthcare or office experience.
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- This position is part time. Hours are somewhat flexible, but expected to be 10am-3 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Basic office and computer skills, and organizational abilities. Excellent interpersonal relations abilities. Excellent telephone skills.
- Knowledge of common medical terminology.
- Able to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Works primarily out of the local office.
