We are seeking a dedicated and organized Remote On-Call Coordinator - Home Care to join Right at Home during non-business hours. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating caregiver call-offs and last-minute scheduling changes during non-business hours.
Your efficient communication and problem-solving skills will ensure that our clients continue to receive the highest level of care even in unexpected situations. Prior scheduling experience is required.
Responsibilities of Remote On-Call Coordinator:
- Hours: 6a-8a & 5p-10p Monday, Thursday, and Friday. 6a-10p on Saturday and Sunday.
- Emergency Response: Act as the primary point of contact for caregivers during non-business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to handle call-offs, scheduling changes, and urgent situations.
- Coordination: Quickly assess the impact of caregiver call-offs on client care schedules and develop contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted care services.
- Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with both caregivers and clients, relaying scheduling changes, updates, and any relevant information in a timely and clear manner.
- Problem Solving: Address unforeseen staffing challenges by rearranging schedules, contacting backup caregivers, and collaborating with other team members to ensure coverage.
- Documentation: Accurately document all call-offs, changes, and resolutions in our scheduling and communication systems.
- Client Relations: Demonstrate empathy and understanding when communicating with clients and their families about changes in caregiver assignments, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the scheduling team, supervisors, and other departments to share information about call-offs and ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and track call-off trends, identifying opportunities for process improvements to minimize scheduling disruptions.
- Emergency Procedures: Adhere to established protocols for emergency situations, providing guidance and support to caregivers and clients as needed.
- On-Call Support: Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation, being available to address any urgent matters that may arise.
Qualifications Remote On-Call Coordinator:
- Remote On Call Coordinator must have previous experience in a scheduling, coordination, or similar role, preferably within the home care, healthcare, or service industry.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically.
- Problem-solving skills to assess situations quickly and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Compassionate and patient attitude when dealing with caregivers, clients, and their families during stressful situations.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software, communication tools, and technology to manage call-offs and updates.
