Schedule
We offer flexible working hours aligned to school schedules, allowing our team members to balance their work and personal life effectively. The schedule includes:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 2:00pm-6:00pm
- Fridays: 12:30pm-6:00pm (dependent on location)
Job Responsibilities
As an Educator with Right At School, you will be responsible for delivering our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning in a meaningful way. Your key responsibilities include:
- Organizing program materials for lessons and activities, as well as documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations
- Modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
- Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
- Meeting regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
- Works well in a team environment
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred)
- Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Complete two years of higher education study (48 units) or obtain an AA degree or higher or pass a formal District academic assessment test
- Ability to lift 25lbs
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
- Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician)
