Our small financial planning firm is looking for a Part Time Data Specialist for in person work in San Luis Obispo. We create and maintain financial plans for high income clients preparing to retire. The candidate we are looking for has excellent writing skills, good at tracking projects, familiar using ChatGPT to create summaries, proven in their Excel skills, and adept with Microsoft Sharepoint. Life and Health insurance license is a plus.
The Data Specialists takes meeting notes, creates a ChatGPT summary, makes an action item list that is sent to the team, and writes a client email summary. They then track the action items through to the next meeting to make sure deadlines are met. This position also prepares applications, and opens financial accounts.
We are also interested in increasing our online presence in our social media accounts. In the past these have been simple Canva graphics, we are open to creating youtube tutorials also.
New graduates are welcome to apply. We have had business, English, and engineering majors do well at in our team.
Duties include:
- Create and distribute meeting notes
- Preparing asset summaries for clients
- Creating accounts through Charles Schwab
- Filling out applications for life insurance and annuities
- Sourcing rates and enrolling clients in healthcare
- Taking meeting notes, uploading files, tracking action items
- Designing graphics for social media accounts
- Answering the phone.
Required skills:
- PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK
- Previous experience with customer service
- ChatGPT, Email, and Microsoft proficiency
- Typing speed of 45 words per minute
- Able to lift 30lbs from floor to high shelving
- Comfortable sitting and typing for up to 8 hours a day
- AA Degree or better
- CA driver's license:
Part Time time: Monday - Thursday
Benefits: Paid holidays, PTO after 180 days
Hourly: $24 /DOE
This is a client facing position, business formal wear is required on meeting days.
