The Support Specialist plays a critical role by directly supporting our client end users and their environments, providing timely and quality hardware, software and mobile device troubleshooting, employing a high degree of customer service, technical expertise and responsiveness.

****This is NOT a work from home position. This position is located in Freeport, TX.****
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks and has strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical skills, as well as strong attention to detail, especially regarding data quality. Candidate must have a strong technical working knowledge of business networking environments with the ability to troubleshoot client/server applications. This individual must be able to troubleshoot and learn new environments with minimal supervision. Experience working for a MSP a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and guidance to users
- Offer phone and email support using a ticket management system
- Support desktops, laptops, servers, tablets, smartphones, and applications
- Track and resolve technical issues
- Document and troubleshoot desktop, server, and network application problems
- Maintain systems, applications, security, and network configurations
- Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on physical and VM servers
- Administer and maintain Azure AD/Office 365
- Manage Windows Server 2012-2022 servers, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
- Troubleshoot network performance and LAN/WAN systems
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Update knowledge base with documented solutions
- Escalate issues when necessary
Requirements:
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong experience supporting Windows, Office 365, and server/network-related issues
- Strong experience supporting Active Directory, Azure AD/Office 365
- Demonstratable experience supporting SonicWall, Cisco, Vmware, MS Hyper-V, IIS, SQL
Qualifications:
- CompTIA A Certification required
- 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with MSP company preferred
- Microsoft Certifications a plus
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school preferred
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team
- Strong customer service skills and positive "can-do" attitude
- Commitment to quality, confidentiality, and timely completion of tasks
- Availability outside normal business hours as needed
Salary
$40,000 - $55,000 per year
