Overview:
The Systems Support Specialist provides frontline technical support and project management for our clients. This role requires both reactive support excellence and the ability to manage concurrent projects while maintaining high client satisfaction levels.
****This is NOT a remote position****
Core Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
On-call rotation required
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks and has strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical skills, as well as strong attention to detail, especially regarding data quality. Candidate must have a strong technical working knowledge of business networking environments with the ability to troubleshoot client/server applications. This individual must be able to troubleshoot and learn new environments with minimal supervision.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Resolve client technical issues through remote and on-site support
- Manage and execute concurrent IT projects when needed
- Provide escalated technical support for high-priority accounts
- Conduct on-site client visits in the greater Houston/Brazoria metropolitan area
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Coordinate with operations team on implementation timelines
- Perform proactive system maintenance and monitoring
- Offer phone and email support using a ticket management system
- Support desktops, laptops, servers, tablets, smartphones, and applications
- Maintain systems, applications, security, and network configurations
- Troubleshoot network performance and LAN/WAN systems
Technical Requirements:
- Windows Server, Exchange, SharePoint, VMWare/Hyper-V administration
- WAN/LAN connectivity, firewalls, VPN configuration
- Terminal services, Windows 10/11, Office 365 management
- Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Azure administration
- Proficiency in server migration and cloud transition projects
- Expertise with MSP automation and monitoring tools
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in similar MSP role
- Excellent documentation practices
- Superior client communication skills
- Proven track record of reliable attendance
- Demonstrated ability to follow established procedures
- Experience managing escalated client relationships
Preferred Experience:
- ConnectWise Manage and Automate experience
- Experience with vulnerability management and security tools
- SonicWALL CSSA certification
- CompTIA A /Cloud /Security /Network
- VMWare VCP certification
- MSMCP, MCSA, MCSE certifications
