Location Options (Hybrid): Midwest, Detroit, or Dallas

Compensation: Base $200k - $250k DOE, plus 20% - 30% bonus target

Our client is a rapidly growing global technology services and solutions provider with deep expertise in strategic consulting, digital transformation, technology solutions, knowledge process outsourcing, and operational optimization.


They are seeking an accomplished Manufacturing Vertical Head to lead both Sales and Delivery efforts within the Manufacturing sector. This high-level, quota-carrying leadership role is responsible for driving growth, building strategic alliances, managing client relationships, and leading high-performing teams to deliver complex IT consulting and digital transformation engagements.


The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, strong C-suite relationships, and a proven track record in new business development, delivery execution, and strategic leadership. This is a unique opportunity to shape and elevate the company’s presence within the manufacturing sector.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership, Business Development & Prospecting

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to expand the manufacturing vertical and achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with a strong “hunter” mentality, acquiring new logos and expanding existing accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with C-suite stakeholders in manufacturing companies.
  • Lead prospect targeting, client engagement, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • Drive pipeline growth and manage the complete sales cycle, from opportunity identification through post-sale account management.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums, expanding visibility and thought leadership within the manufacturing sector.

Strategic Leadership and Client Engagement

  • Identify and engage potential clients across all facets of the manufacturing industry, including production, supply chain management, quality control, and distribution.
  • Cultivate and maintain invaluable relationships with key industry stakeholders to generate leads, create opportunities, and foster trust.

Strategic Alliances and Partnerships

  • Leverage an extensive network and industry relationships to establish strategic collaborations and partnerships with leading organizations within the manufacturing sector.
  • Evaluate opportunities where our cutting-edge technology and business operations solutions can deliver substantial value.

Industry Insight and Gap Analysis

  • Maintain a keen awareness of evolving industry trends, challenges, and emerging needs.
  • Provide expert guidance on identifying industry gaps where the company's technology and tools can pioneer innovative solutions.

Leading Industry Transformation

  • Lead the company in driving transformation within the manufacturing industry by identifying opportunities that go beyond immediate client requirements.
  • Develop visionary strategies to position our solutions as industry-leading, rather than merely reactive.

Delivery Oversight

  • Oversee the successful delivery of IT consulting and technology solutions to manufacturing clients, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to scope projects, define deliverables, allocate resources, and manage project execution.
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for client engagements, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company strategic objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence, risk management, and continuous improvement throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • 7-10 years of IT consulting and solutions experience in manufacturing vertical, including Sales and Delivery team responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding individual and team sales quotas.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex IT consulting and digital transformation projects within manufacturing environments.
  • Robust network and established C-suite relationships within the manufacturing industry.
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing trends, industry challenges, and competitive landscape.
  • Expertise in CRM practices with proficiency in Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a collaborative leadership style and a proactive approach to prospecting and client engagement.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively as required.
