Position: Senior Front End Engineer
Location: Palo Alto, CA (In-person Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri)
Compensation: $150K–$180K 0.25% – 0.75% equity
Our client is building an AI platform for inside sales and counter reps in the industrial distribution industry. Their platform helps reps quote faster, close more business, and improve margins — all while delivering a superior customer experience.
They are a well-funded, post-YC (S24) startup with strong early traction and growing customer demand. Their goal is to modernize a massive industry that has historically been underserved by software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build polished, performant UIs from Figma designs
- Collaborate with product design and customer success to prototype and iterate on user-facing features
- Own front-end quality, accessibility, responsiveness, and performance
- Work closely with backend engineers and AI APIs to deliver full-stack functionality
- Help define front-end stack, architecture, and conventions
- Contribute to core product thinking — especially around UI/UX and data visualization
- Move fast and prioritize learning — they ship real product to real users every week
Qualifications:
- Strong front-end engineering experience (React or similar; ideally TypeScript)
- Pixel-perfect attention to detail and a deep appreciation for great UX
- Strong grasp of CSS, layout, responsiveness, and componentization
- Comfort working with APIs, edge cases, and real-world product constraints
- Ability to own projects end-to-end — design handoff to production
- In-person collaboration mindset — you enjoy working shoulder-to-shoulder with design, engineering, and go-to-market
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with LLM-enabled product experiences
- Experience working in vertical SaaS or high-stakes enterprise tools
- Background in testing, performance optimization, or animation
- Exposure to early-stage, fast-shipping environments
