Summary

The Video Content Marketer is a talented videographer and photographer who creates visual content that builds trust and empowers customers to confidently purchase the rope they need for their project or lifestyle. The Video Content Marketer will work directly with the founders to collaborate on the content strategy and will produce engaging how-to videos and authentic, behind-the-scenes explainer videos, along with high-quality, product-photography and infographics. You will also excite potential customers, and increase brand awareness through reels and shorts of our various ropes being stretched and broken on our huge, new, break-testing machine! We are open to a wide range of experience for this position, from an intern to a seasoned manager.

About Us

Right Rope is a fast-growing, eCommerce, direct-to-consumer rope manufacturer and retailer. We have been increasing our online brand-presence since 2018, and are seeking to take our videos and photography to the next level as we create new products and market them through video and photography on all our online platforms.

Our goal is to create visual content that will inspire and empower people to confidently choose us to get the right rope. Our office is located about 20 minutes East of Grand Rapids in Saranac, Michigan. We are looking for a driven person who is looking to grow their career by making a big impact in a young, ambitious company.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end, on-brand, short and long-form video production including: planning, storyboarding, setup, lighting, audio, directing, shooting, and editing informational and marketing videos
• Shoot and edit on-brand product and lifestyle photography for website and other selling platforms
• Use content created to Improve video and photography on current selling platforms
• Film short advertising videos for YouTube, Meta, X, and TikTok
• Preferred: Some social media strategy and management
• Preferred: Some graphic design for other advertising mediums

Schedule

• Preferred: Full-time (40 hrs / week) Open to part-time or agency work
• High level of autonomy for highly ambitious and responsible person
• Flexible start / stop times, as long as deadlines and business priorities are met
• Hybrid Work: Onsite 1-2 days / week for filming and photography (rest remote, if preferred - or may work onsite full time)

Qualifications

• Prior experience in eCommerce content marketing
• Passion and skill for creating engaging long and short form videos
• 1-3 years experience in video production, cinematography, video editing, or similar field of experience (Portfolio examples required)
• Eye for excellence in creating compelling product photography
• Skilled and proficient in operating camera and lighting equipment
• Ability to shoot and edit product photography to meet brand standards (Portfolio examples of photography required)
• Fluent in Adobe Premier, Lightroom, Photoshop and/or similar software

• Ability to self-manage and prioritize work and multiple projects and meet deadlines with limited supervision

Compensation

• Starting pay: $40k - 80k , commensurate with skill level
• Eligible for performance-based raises and bonuses
