Right There Travel Centers is an independently owned convenience store and gas station located in the Valley View area of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Position Summary

The Customer Service Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service in multiple areas of the store, including operating the cash register, serving food and beverages, and assisting customers at the fuel pumps. This role requires multitasking and ensuring a safe, clean, and friendly environment for customers while efficiently performing all job functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Cashier Duties:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately, including cash, and credit/debit card payments.
• Bag purchased items and ensure customers leave with all their items.
• Verify age for customers purchasing age-restricted items such as lottery and tobacco products.
• Answer customer questions about products, promotions, and store policies.
• Maintain accurate cash drawers, ensure the register is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift, and report any discrepancies.
• Keep the cashier area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Food Server Duties:

• Prepare and serve hot and cold food items to customers following all food safety guidelines.
• Take food orders from customers and ensure orders are accurate and served in a timely manner.
• Stock and organize the food display area, ensuring freshness and cleanliness.
• Maintain proper food handling procedures and cleanliness of food preparation and serving areas.
• Monitor food inventory levels, notify management when stock is low, and assist with ordering supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that food orders meet customers' expectations and resolving any issues professionally.

Fuel Attendant Duties:

• Assist customers with fueling their vehicles by providing safety instructions and offering guidance on fuel types.
• Monitor fuel pumps to ensure proper operation, reporting any maintenance or safety issues to management.
• Ensure the fueling area is clean, organized, and free of hazards such as spills, trash, or debris.
• Verify payment for fuel purchases and assist with pump issues, such as resetting the pump or troubleshooting.
• Enforce safety protocols related to fueling and ensure customers follow safety guidelines (e.g., no smoking near pumps).

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Previous experience in retail, food service, or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and make change accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of customers.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures (training will be provided).
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (for fuel attendant duties).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

Environment: You will be working both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions.

Physical Requirements: The job requires standing for long periods, lifting items, and moving around the store and outside store grounds.

Schedule: Flexibility is required as shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
