RightBrain Networks, a technology consulting company based in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area is seeking a Cloud Solutions Engineer to join our team. You'll gain real, hands-on experience working with some of the most in-demand technology domains: platform engineering, cloud architecture, and data engineering. We are considering candidates that have backgrounds in both Linux and/or Windows administration.
Our technical team specializes in building, consulting on, and managing complex, highly-scalable Internet-based applications. Our clients are located all over the globe and include everyone from Silicon Valley start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. They all rely on us to solve their business-critical challenges with innovative solutions.
In this role you would be working with a team of 3-5 people on platform, cloud, or data engineering projects. You will be responsible for implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions to meet the needs of our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, and best practices. You will work closely with clients to deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that leverage cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. The ideal candidate is a highly technical problem solver with strong communication skills and an insatiable passion for learning.

Qualifications:
An ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the following subject areas:
- 3-5 years experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Source Control.
- Docker.
- CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, AWS Code Suite, etc.
- Networking: DNS, routing, security, TCP/IP, etc.
- Scripting: bash, python, powershell.
- Relational Database: MySQL, Postgres, etc.
- Web Servers & Proxies: NGINX, HAProxy, Traefik, Apache2, etc.
- Exceptional communication skills: via email, in-person, and phone.
Pluses:
- Software or web development experience.
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Consolidated Monitoring Logging & Telemetry experience.
- Windows world experience, Server, IIS, Azure.
- Serverless technologies.
- NoSQL: DynamoDB, Mongo, Cassandra, ElasticSearch.
- Any relevant certifications: CCNA, RHCSA, GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.
This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with pay starting at $90k per year and full benefits. We are not able to sponsor work visas at this time.
