They are looking for a Medical Billing Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing and claim resolution to optimize payment cycles and maximize cash flow. This is an onsite position based in Westchester County, NY.
Medical Billing Specialist’s Responsibilities and Duties
- Accurately bill third-party insurance carriers.
- Monitor host systems and billing scrubbers for timely claim resolution.
- Review and address third-party trial balance reports monthly.
- Initiate refunds to patients or insurance carriers when necessary.
- Communicate with patients to resolve inaccurate or incomplete information.
Medical Billing Specialist’s Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Clerical experience required, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong clerical and business aptitude.
- Proficiency with basic office equipment and CTR computer terminals is a plus.
