What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pmhnp position at Rightplace family Clinic?
This is a clinically focused position, caring for patients with mental health and related behavioral health disorders and their families. The practice applies well-established and highly effective clinical approaches to the care of clients and families affected by mental illness. There are multiple opportunities for personal growth as a clinician, prescriber and leader.
The provider would join a group of licensed professionals.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and ongoing care, with a focus on mental illness and associated psychiatric symptoms of patients, some of which will involve telehealth in accordance with licensure, billing and other legal requirements.
- Prescribe psychiatric medication.
- Order diagnostic tests (e.g., blood, urine, etc)
- Maintain accurate records and schedules.
- Complete evaluations, notes and documentation within 24 hours.
- Inform patients about their health conditions and provide education on medication
- Depending on the candidate and interest there will be opportunities to develop a mentored clinical practice leadership role within the program.
- Responsible for maintaining patient records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- 1-2 years experience working with children and adults with mental health diagnosis/disorders in an outpatient mental health setting.
