Travel Radiation Therapist Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced travel radiation therapist to join our team for a 12-week assignment in Poughkeepsie, New York. As a travel radiation therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer
- Conduct daily treatment sessions, including preparing and positioning patients, operating linear accelerators, and monitoring patients during treatment
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information and treatment data
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a radiation therapist
- Current licensure as a Registered Radiation Therapist (RADTHER-NY) in the state of New York
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
