Duration: Contract-to hire, starting with a three-month term, with potential for extension and permanent hire based on performance
Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble and solder small parts with precision.
- Cut and modify plastic components as required.
- Perform point-to-point wiring.
- Solder Through-hole and Fine Pitch SMT components to PCBAs.
- Read and follow ISO9000 work instructions meticulously.
- Handle multiple product types efficiently.
- Conduct quality assurance and testing to ensure adherence to work instructions.
- Escalate issues to the Team Lead or Supervisor promptly.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
- Assist in training new employees on the job.
- Enter completed work into the computer tracking system accurately.
- Run basic tests to confirm the quality and correctness of the work.
- Program firmware into units using a computer.
- Use a rotary tool to cut open returned units for refurbishment.
- Use 2-part methacrylate adhesive to glue units closed.
- Occasionally required to reach, stoop, or kneel.
Qualifications and skills:
- Skilled in soldering Through-hole components and wires.
- Experienced in soldering SMT components.
- Basic computer skills for task execution and data entry.
- Ability to read and comprehend ISO work instructions.
- Capable of standing, sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
- Must be proficient in soldering to IPC610 Class II standards for both SMT and Through-hole components.
- Knowledge and use of hands tools (screwdriver, wire cutters, soldering iron)
- Technical background
- Analytical skills and problem solving
- Has strong communication skills: English speaking and writing
- Can work from Monday through Friday 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM
- Must be reliable, has strong work ethic, detail oriented, focus and a team player
- Must have reliable transportation
