We are looking for dedicated a Lathe Machinist to join our team in Deer Park Texas 77536 with $29.00/hr pay for a 12-months contract - temp role. A manual lathe machinist operates and maintains manual lathes to shape and fabricate metal or other materials into precise components, interpreting technical drawings and ensuring high-quality production through precise measurements and adjustments. Must have High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 years related experience in operating and maintaining manual lathes.– APPLY NOW!
Shift: Monday - Friday 7am to 3:30pm OT as needed
Overview:
A manual lathe machinist operates and maintains manual lathes to shape and fabricate metal or other materials into precise components, interpreting technical drawings and ensuring high-quality production through precise measurements and adjustments.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD & T).
- Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
- Ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
- Physically capable of lifting materials and standing for long periods.
