Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned QA testing, source testing, and/or sanitation checks in compliance with local, state, federal, and company policies and procedures.
- Perform quality checks to ensure conformity of finished products.
- Conduct inspections of processes, products, raw materials, and supplies to monitor quality assurance parameters and ensure GMP compliance.
- Sanitize equipment and production areas according to regulatory standards.
- Maintain a testing schedule and provide QA support for manufacturing operations.
- Communicate detailed reports on any results outside of standards or specifications.
- Verify the accuracy of work, including QA line checks and load in/load out accuracy.
- Ensure the regular calibration of equipment such as pumps, thermometers, etc.
Requirements:
- Desired BA/BS Degree or equivalent industry work experience; food and beverage industry preferred.
- Experience in quality control within the food manufacturing industry is required.
- Proficiency in laboratory testing skills, with a working knowledge of water processing, chemistry, microbiology, fluid metering, and monitoring devices.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Basic mathematical and accounting skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites and Products.
- Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties under minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift products and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
