School Bus Driver - Trainee

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing safe and reliable transportation services, particularly in environments that may involve working with children or seniors. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to manage behavior effectively while ensuring a positive experience for all passengers.

Duties

• Safely operate a bus or van to transport passengers to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior.
• Communicate effectively with passengers, parents, or guardians regarding schedules and any changes.
• Educate passengers on safety procedures and proper behavior while on the bus.
• Manage passenger behavior during transit to ensure a safe environment for all.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed, particularly those requiring additional support such as seniors or children.
• Document any incidents or issues that arise during transport.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
• Experience in senior care or childcare is highly desirable.
• Strong behavior management skills to handle various passenger needs effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups; bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
• Capability to write reports or documentation related to passenger incidents or vehicle inspections.
• A commitment to safety and the well-being of all passengers.
