The Project Cost Engineer will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and reporting. The role involves managing a team of project control professionals and collaborating with stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients, to ensure project success.
JOB FUNCTIONS
· Develop and maintain the project controls plan and associated procedures
· Implement and maintain the project schedule, including resource loading, critical path analysis, and progress monitoring.
· Manage project budgets, track costs, and prepare financial forecasts
· Monitor and manage project risks, including the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks and opportunities
· Ensure accurate and timely project reporting to stakeholders, including progress updates, cost reports, and risk registers
· Lead and mentor a team of project controls professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities
· Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure project objectives are achieved within scope, schedule, and budget constraints
· Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment with project goals
· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, procedures, and security requirements
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Project Management, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in project controls in heavy civil and marine construction industry
- Strong understanding of project management principles, practices, and tools, including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and reporting
- Experience in managing a team of project controls professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in project management software and tools, including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Excel
- Tech savvy with PC Systems
- Dynamic team player

Pay: $84,529.00 - $91,709.00 per year
