Bartender

Rigo Spanish-Italian is currently seeking experienced bartenders to join our team!

The bartenders at Rigo play a key role in providing great service and enhancing the dining experience for our guests with a warm smile. Our bartenders can work together as a team while adhering to our standards for excellent customer service.

Their responsibilities are:

• Work harmoniously with other staff members both front and back of the house
• Greet bar guests with a smile and provide hospitality using names where applicable
• Take and enter drink/food orders accurately, while always suggesting and upselling
• Follow specialty drink recipes and execute in a timely manner
• Pour drinks according to the proper pour specs taught during training using jigger at all times.
• Make drinks using the proper tools, glassware and equipment provided
• Process payments and operate the POS system efficiently
• Keep the bar area clean and organized, promptly wiping the bar top and stools as guests leave

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a full-service restaurant
• Familiarity with food handling, safety, and sanitation practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
• Desire to learn about wine, drinks, new menu items, and specials
• Experience creating syrups from scratch, using an induction burner and cooking equipment including hand blenders/blenders, juicers, and mandolins are a plus.
• Experience with inventory, costing and ordering, and dealing with distributors is a plus.

Pay is set at minimum wage plus Hawaii's tip credit deduction: $12.75/hour tips

Rigo Spanish-Italian restaurant is located at 885 Kapahulu Ave. We are a Spanish-Italian fusion restaurant with Tapas, Pizzas, Pastas and Paella. We are excited to announce new management and we are making new changes to the restaurant. Since winning Best New Restaurant in 2020 by Hale 'Aina Awards and Best Lunch in 2024 by 'Ilima Awards, our goal is to be our community's "favorite restaurant". Our team is seeking individuals that are excited to learn, put time in our craft and be a team player. We pride ourselves in being hospitable and having many returning customers.
