Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies, following established recipes and techniques.
- Ensure all food production meets safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean work environment.
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers safely and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones based on customer feedback.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers during special events or catering functions.
- Maintain accurate records of production quantities and waste for quality control purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production within the food industry, preferably in a bakery or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work with various kitchen tools, including knives and baking equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
