Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engine and chassis issues on primarily Kenworth trucks, but also Peterbilt, International, Freightliner, vocational vehicles, and other makes.
- Complete all work according to manufacturer's policies and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time, and repair order documentation.
- Ensure customer vehicles are returned at the same level of cleanliness prior to being serviced.
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment including tools, equipment, shop, and service truck to high appearance standards.
- Attend training classes as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 years Fleet or Dealership experience
- Possess own tools
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE certification
- CDL certification
Physical Demands
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Frequently use arms, hands, and fingers to feel, grasp, push, pull, squeeze, and/or reach.
- Regularly stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
- Climb occasionally and balance rarely.
Work Environment
- Exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- Noise level is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
