Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty : Hemodialysis

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Other - Three 12.5-hour shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours : 37.5 hours per week

Experience : 2 years of Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) experience

License : New York State RN License, Primary Source Verification

Certifications : AHA BLS

Must-Have :

  • IV insertion and phlebotomy skills
  • Conscious sedation experience
  • English language proficiency (read, write, speak)

Job Description :

  • Administer hemodialysis treatment and care for patients.
  • Perform Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) as required for patients in correctional health services.
  • Competently perform IV insertions and phlebotomy.
  • Ensure safe and effective conscious sedation for patients under given protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
  • Adhere to all necessary correctional health service protocols and guidelines.
  • Participate in regular training and updates to maintain expertise and compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Execute duties with professionalism and ethical standards suitable for the correctional health setting.
