Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance our quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations. This role requires a strong background in quality control, project management, and the implementation of quality systems, including SQF and CGMP standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in product quality and operational efficiency.
- Analyze data from quality control tests to identify trends and areas for corrective action.
- Manage the documentation of quality assurance processes, including reports on findings and recommendations.
- Oversee training programs for staff on quality management practices and compliance requirements.
- Implement HACCP principles to ensure food safety standards are met in production processes.
- Lead projects aimed at enhancing product quality and reducing defects through effective project management techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, or related field and minimum of 5 years of experience managing Food Safety and Quality in retail grocery, food service or Food manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of SQF, CGMP, HACCP, FSMA ( PCQI ) and other relevant industry standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in project management with a focus on improving quality systems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
