We are representing a reputable Bay Area based General Contractor in their search for a Senior Estimator. The client specializes in large scale Commercial Tenant Improvements including Life Sciences, Tech and Manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare materials pricing
Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects and Engineers
Solicit bids from Subcontractors, evaluate proposals and communicate with the bidders
Prepare conceptual estimates
Lead pre-bid job walks
Qualifications
You have 7 years of Estimating / Preconstruction experience
Experience focused on Commercial and / Tenant Improvement construction
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field
Proficiency with estimating software, take-off software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam), and MS Office suite
Knowledge and understanding of construction drawings
Ability to manage multiple estimates and bids at any given time
Excellent communication skills and an ability work well in a team-based environment
