Position Summary: The Management Trainee position is a dynamic two-year program designed to provide hands-on experience and structured training in all aspects of our holiday outdoor decorating company. This role is ideal for an ambitious, customer-focused individual eager to develop a long-term career in sales. The Management Trainee will gain valuable experience in customer relationship management, sales operations, building bids and proposals, preparing them for opportunities within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Review sales contracts and ensure committed dates are in CRM and communicated
- Assist in preparing competitive bids and proposals for customers
- Maintain and update records in Salesforce, Smartsheet, and other platforms to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Monitor bid timelines and follow up to ensure all deadlines are met
- Provide administrative support to the sales team, including generating reports and handling correspondence
- Build and maintain customer relationships by providing exceptional service and addressing inquiries promptly
- Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective customers through lead generation, networking, and cold calling
- Coordinate with department managers in operations and warehouses to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Travel to clients as needed for sales presentations, consultations, and customer relationship development
Qualifications:
- Preferred bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Sage Intacct and Smartsheet is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and three-year clean driving experience
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during peak season
