As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), you’ll be a Master's-prepared Advanced Practice Registered Nurse dedicated to enhancing patient care outcomes. In this multifaceted role, you will:
- Serve as an Expert in Clinical Practice, delivering specialized knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Act as an Educator, mentoring and training nursing staff to foster excellence in care.
- Step into a Leadership role, advocating for best practices and driving quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage as a Researcher, contributing to groundbreaking studies that advance pediatric healthcare.
- Provide Consultation and guidance, positively influencing patient care, nursing practices, and healthcare systems.
- Bachelors Degree of Nursing (BSN) required.
- Master in nursing as Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) required.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license and meets regulatory requirements to practice as a CNS.
- Requires 3-5 years of advanced clinical skills typically gained through nursing experience.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
