Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough infection surveillance activities to identify, investigate, and respond to infection outbreaks among patients and staff.
- Develop and implement effective preventative measures to control and minimize infections.
- Educate and train healthcare personnel on best practices for infection prevention and control, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Ensure compliance with recommendations and standards set by regulatory and accrediting agencies to uphold the highest standards of care.

Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical procedures; medical and environmental microbiology; infectious disease; epidemiology; asepsis and immunology preferred.
- Requires knowledge of local; state; and national regulations and standards and their impact on infection control.
- National certification in infection control preferred within 3 years from date of hire.
- 3-5 years experience in healthcare or related field is preferred. Prior experience in infection control preferred.
