Educational Technology Specialist III – English Language Arts
The Riley School seeks an experienced Ed Tech for children in grades 2-4. Riley is a progressive, coeducational school with mixed-age classrooms. Our program serves children ages 2-14 in Early childhood (ages 2-4), Early Elementary (K-1), Upper Elementary (grades 2-4), and Middle School (grades 5-8). This role is for an Ed Tech III who will support our ELA teacher in English Language Arts.
Position Overview
The Educational Technology Specialist III (Ed Tech III) for English Language Arts is a key member of our faculty, responsible for the integration, support, and advancement of educational tools within the ELA curriculum. This position will work closely with our primary ELA teacher to design and implement high-quality learning experiences consistent with the Riley mission; assist in the development of literacy skills; and ensure that technology is used effectively to support diverse learning styles and promote student engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with English Language Arts teacher in lesson planning, instructional delivery, and assessment.
- Support students in using technology tools to enhance writing, reading comprehension, and critical thinking skills.
- Assist in the selection and implementation of tools and resources that align with the curriculum and educational goals.
- Troubleshoot and support the use of educational technology in classrooms.
- Stay current with trends and innovations in educational technology and ELA pedagogy, bringing new ideas and tools to the school community.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered environment where all learners are empowered to succeed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or related field
- Ed Tech III certification
- Proficiency in literacy intervention
- Knowledge of a variety of educational technologies, including learning management systems, digital writing tools, multimedia applications, and educational apps.
- Experience working in a progressive or project-based learning environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with educators, students, and parents in an inclusive school community.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate both students and staff.
- A passion for staying informed about emerging trends in education.
