Position Overview The Chief Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing the repair, maintenance, and operational readiness of all company-owned and rented equipment. This includes tracking equipment inventory, maintaining critical spare parts, and ensuring all machinery operates efficiently and safely. This role reports directly to the Vessel Manager and coordinates with project management to support operational needs and company interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Management :
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all equipment and its location.
Track and maintain records of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports, inspections, and repairs.
Enforce safety rules and regulations related to equipment operation and maintenance.
Provide mentorship and supervision to staff and crew members.
