Commercial Roofing Superintendent

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial roofing (strongly preferred).

• Proven knowledge of all phases of commercial roofing installation from start to finish, across various roofing systems.

• Familiarity with commercial roofing tools, equipment, and materials.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, safety documentation, and digital communication platforms to ensure accurate and safe execution.

• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, build and inspire a high-performing team, maintain a customer-first focus, innovate, and execute a clear project vision and plan.

• Talent for identifying team members’ strengths and assigning them appropriately on job sites.

• Flexible availability to manage a 45 hour work week as needed.

• Comfortable using modern technology such as smartphones, tablets, cloud-based platforms, email, and digital reporting/documentation tools.

• Eagerness to learn and continuously improve within the commercial roofing field.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs.

• OSHA Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Enforce and oversee safety protocols on job sites, ensuring all tools are in working order, PPE is correctly used, and safety documentation is maintained.

• Manage on-site crew presence to meet project deadlines, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain safety compliance.

• Identify and address problem areas, monitor materials usage, and actively participate in detailed roofing system installations.

• Set daily objectives for crews, resolve issues that hinder productivity, and plan proactively for upcoming project phases.

• Coordinate logistics such as dumpster delivery, portable restrooms, and equipment with the assigned Project Manager/Estimator.

• Prioritize prevention and resolution of leaks or water intrusion issues (tie-ins, drains, flashing, etc.) during installation.

• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations on-site and maintain easy access to Safety Data Sheets.

• Provide consistent, clear communication through daily reports, quality assurance/quality control documentation, job costing, and end-of-project reviews.

• Follow all company/client policies, procedures, and guidelines with full compliance.

• Demonstrate integrity and take pride in producing high-quality work.

• Foster a positive and motivated work environment for all team members.
