General Responsibilities :
The Plumbing Designer is responsible for designing plumbing systems using CAD, 3D Piping, and Revit software. This role provides technical support to various departments and assists in creating plumbing designs, including system narratives, drawings, and specifications for projects of varying types and sizes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review architectural plans and set up Revit / CAD files.
- Design plumbing systems based on architectural drawings and material specifications.
- Develop 3D Revit detail drawings, schedules, and isometrics for plan / spec and design-build projects.
- Assess project submittals for space limitations and constructability.
- Create Material Requisitions (MRs) and perform take-offs on all drawings.
- Provide technical support for fabrication and field operations.
- Coordinate with project managers and field foremen to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with field operations supervisors to implement necessary design modifications.
- Document design changes and process adjustments as needed.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring company design and drafting standards.
- Follow all safety procedures on job sites.
- Travel to job sites as required by management.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and values.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and building codes.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
